Other cafés and restaurants
Most of the restaurants in Helsinki offer at least one vegan option, and all cafés offer plant milk nowadays, no surcharge. Local restaurant chains such as Espresso House, picnic and Kotipizza also offer vegan options. Vegan dishes are usually labelled with a (V) or (VE); if unsure, simply request from staff – they usually have a good idea what vegan means.
Grocery shops
The main grocery chains are K- and S-market (including Prisma and Alepa stores). Lidl chain is also found in Helsinki. I personally shop at K-supermarkets, as I feel they have a good selection of vegan products. K-supermarket Postitalo and Kamppi in central Helsinki have a large selection of vegan products including take-away and readymade meals.
