Kippo Helsinki - the best sandwiches

I have said it before and I’ll say it again – Kippo (now known as Plants By Us) has the best sandwiches in Helsinki, and quite possibly Finland.. at least in my experience! This kiosk on the top floor of Forum shopping centre in central Helsinki has been our go-to food place and sure is for many others too. Kippo is refreshing and delicious.

Everything here is fully plant – based, that is, vegan and they also use biodegradable cutlery and packages. Over time, we have tried almost all the sandwiches on their menu – ‘Chili the Kid’ and ‘Steph Curry’ with cashew cheese are a favourite. The bread is amazing and so is their housemade organic cashew cheese. A large Hanoi Bae quinoa bowl is filling with a delicious peanut curry sauce. Try some awesome smoothies or coffee shakes.

Other than coffee/tea all the items on their menu are priced around 7€ and the salad bowls around 13€. Definitely worth it. There is a nice seating area for Kippo customers where you can enjoy the food or take-away. KIPPO stands for several things incl. Knives In Plants, Preferably Organic and Kitchen Is Positively Plant Obsessed (according to their website) ;D
